Common Name: croaker, white croaker, white croaker, corvinha, whitemouth croaker. For its size is known as "roncadera" individuals of 5 to 20 cm and "Mingo" to individuals aged 25 to 40 cm in length.
Description: Body fusiform, robust, covered with scales (cycloid) caudal fin rounded. Two dorsal fins, the first with hard radios, mouth ventral with pores mentalis. Separate sexes without sexual dimorphism and external fertilization. Average length 42 cm.
Color: dark brown back to brown the belly varies from white to brown through yellow.
